Laugh out Loud-literally

I am a naturally anxious person. Recently I noticed I have been more angry and frustrated lately. These feeling are fleeting, however, they are very disruptive to my day. I have been working really hard to keep a positive attitude and for the most part I am truly happy. I feel fantastic! Then the darkness comes over me and I succumb to it. Here are some techniquea I use to stay focused on the positive
What I feel strongly about is allowing yourself to be unhappy or discontent with your environment current state for a short while. Its okay to feel sad sometimes. Take a break. ( I really should take my own advice here) Allow your self to feel whatever you want to feel for a moment. Then breathe and relax into a more pleasant state of mind. Think of all the happiness you have in your life: Laugh out loud. This works trust me.

Our Mission and Goal,

Our Mission:
To encourage dialog amongst Survivors
To encourage all Survivors to enjoy life while healing
To encourage spiritual healing from within.
To remind us to keep moving forward.

I started this organization because I saw a need to connect the healing process to spiritual growth of trauma survivors.To make this connection by opening dialog the between us.
We, at Life After Trauma, are committed to assisting in the healing of Survivors of Trauma and their families. By sharing stories of success, inspiration, and triumph, we can achieve optimum spiritual wellness within. By tapping into the positive life energy we each hold, we can created an environment of tranquility and love. Life after Trauma was created to assist Survivors while on their path to wellness and balance after tragedy,by helping those who are still in Trauma become Survivors. Our goal is to guide you to back to your birthright: A life of happiness, and fulfillment.

If you’ve gone through a traumatic experience or know someone who is, this blog is for you. By definition, trauma is:
A traumatic event is an experience that causes physical, emotional, psychological distress, or harm. It is an event that is perceived and experienced as a threat to one's safety or to the stability of one's world.

A traumatic event may involve:

* A move to a new location
* Anxiety
* Death of a friend, family member, or pet
* Divorce
* Fear
* Hospitalization
* Loss of trust
* Pain
* Physical injury or illness
* Separation from parents (perceived abandonment)
* Terrorism or mass disaster
* Violence or war
may be struggling with upsetting emotions, frightening memories, or a sense of constant danger that you just can’t kick. Or you may feel numb, disconnected, and unable to trust other people.

When one experiences trauma, it can take quite time to get over the pain.It may take even longer before you began to feel safe again. Hopefully you are not alone during this trying time and you are seeking counseling,allowing support from family and friends and enjoying your life in the process.These actions can increase your recovery time from trauma. The most important thing to remember is-you are NOT your trauma. You CAN move on from here!

Buddhist Psychology+ Refraining from Negative Thoughts+ Law of Attraction = Life after Trauma.
On June 19th 2009 I went out to celebrate a birthday with people I considered my friends. A few hours later,the party was over.June 28th I woke up in Shock Trauma. I had suffered multiple injuries after being beaten and ran over by a car several times. I was broken from head to toe. My flesh was burned from road rash after my body had been dragged under a vehicle for approx 60 ft.

I am writing this blog to discuss Life after Trauma. My journey has been an interesting one. What I want to share with everyone is the power of positive energy, thoughts, and the absolute truth in the Law of attraction. I am a firm believer in the power we all have to heal ourselves. I want to share my story.
I hope my story encourages, enlightens and gives hope to those dealing with life after a traumatic event.
Stay Strong
